Our God is a God of Mercy!!

How awesome is it to know that our God shows mercy to us. The definition of mercy is showing kindness towards someone who does not deserve it.

The bible records several scriptures providing us with examples of the mercy of God.

When we CRY OUT for mercy to the Lord, He stops!!
In Mark 10:46-52; Jesus with his disciples and a great multitude came to Jericho; a blind man named Bartimaeus cried out to the Lord. He cried out, "have mercy on me". Although he was warned to be quiet, Bartimaeus cried out even more. Jesus stood still in hearing this plea. Jesus even asked "What do you want Me to do for you?" Bartimaeus asked that he would receive his sight. Jesus gave him sight!!

In Matthew 18:21-22, Jesus shows us that we are to show mercy to others!!

Peter asked "Lord, how many times shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times? Jesus said to him "I do not say to you up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven."

God forgives us of our sins every time we ask; in this scripture He reminds us to act according to His will.

Jesus wants us to love our enemies. In Luke6:27-30 The Most High reminds us to turn the other cheek!!

In Luke6:36 Jesus said "Therefore be merciful, just as your father also is merciful."

In Psalms 103:17
..the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting.

And God showed his greatest mercy of all for the world.

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

CRYING OUT TO GOD MAKES GOD STAND STILL!! HE WANTS TO HELP US!!

Prayer:
Thank You Father for Your mercies shown through out our lives. We believe in Your promises and ask for Your continued grace and mercy. We praise you Lord for being our Lord and Savior.

AMEN
